Built a comprehensive digital healthcare platform extending electronic medical records into clinic, hospital, provider, and healthcare management workflows.
Business Challenge
HealthPHR and HealthIndya originated from a common vision: using technology to help advance healthcare digitization in the Indian market. Where HealthPHR focused primarily on the patient and Personal Health Record ecosystem, HealthIndya's founders wanted to expand that vision further — healthcare providers, clinics, and hospitals have operational needs that go well beyond maintaining a patient's health information, including patient management, provider management, medical records, organizational administration, and broader clinic and hospital workflows. The challenge for BAMS was to build a broader platform capable of supporting both patient-facing healthcare experiences and healthcare-organization management within one system.
Project Objective
BAMS was tasked with creating a broader healthcare technology platform capable of supporting patients, doctors, healthcare providers, clinics, hospitals, and administrators — extending the PHR concept into a broader Electronic Medical Records and healthcare management environment. Objectives included digitizing healthcare records, supporting electronic medical records, managing patients, supporting healthcare providers, clinics, and hospitals, centralizing healthcare administration, and providing role-specific workflows for each type of platform participant.
What BAMS Built
BAMS designed and developed HealthIndya as a broader healthcare management ecosystem, bringing together Patient Management, EMR, Provider Management, Clinic Management, Hospital Management, and Administration into one integrated platform. On the patient side, the platform supports patient registration, patient profiles, patient records, and medical history. Doctors and providers get their own profiles, dashboards, and patient-management workflows. Clinics get administration, patient and provider management, and clinic-specific administrative functionality; hospitals get their own administration, patient and provider management, and organizational workflows. Underlying all of this is the platform's Electronic Medical Records functionality — patient health information, medical history, and clinical documentation managed as structured healthcare records rather than scattered files.
BAMS's Role
BAMS was responsible for the end-to-end development of HealthIndya — solution architecture, UX/UI, the React.js frontend, the PHP backend/application layer, the MySQL database, and AWS cloud infrastructure — including the patient portal, provider portal, EMR functionality, patient management, clinic management, hospital management, the administrative platform, and deployment.
Implementation Approach
HealthIndya was designed as a multi-role healthcare management platform: Patient → Provider → Clinic → Hospital → Administrator, each requiring its own experience and workflow rather than one generic interface. BAMS built the platform around these different healthcare participants — patients managing their own health information, providers managing their patients, clinics and hospitals managing their own operations and staff — while keeping healthcare records and administrative oversight centralized across the platform.
Business Impact
HealthIndya gave its founders a broader technology foundation for healthcare digitization — extending the patient-centric PHR concept into provider, clinic, hospital, and healthcare management workflows, and creating a foundation for bringing both patient-facing and healthcare-organization workflows into one common digital healthcare environment.

“We needed HIPAA-compliant infrastructure and a team that actually understood healthcare workflows. BAMS delivered both, and our clinicians love the platform.”
